Footstream Analytics is an Atlanta, GA based startup, and was the client for a project at General Assembly. My partner and I were chartered with the task of researching and developing a complete dashboard experience for Footstream’s long and short range wifi enabled retail analytics software. We first had to deconstruct the tech involved in counting customers with wifi. Next, we collected data by interviewing Jamestown Partners head of facilities to understand the metrics that matter most to landlords and retailers. Then we observed and interviewed customers to better understand how they move through the space. During this three week sprint, we deep dived on analytics to produce a minimum viable prototype that Footstream is now using to pitch potential clients.

Features: Zone based counting system allowing customer attributes to be accurately counted and tracked through an entire shopping experience. We added a social media listening functionality so nearby events, severe weather and marketing campaigns can more accurately be correlated with customer traffic.
